Business Benefits

The benefits of adopting NEC's hosted Cloud PABX solution over traditional on-premise PABX solutions include:

  • Rapid Service Provisioning - your Cloud PABX can be provisioned in a number of hours and there is no installation scheduling or delays
  • Upfront Cost Savings - There is no hardware required on your site and this equates to reduced setup costs.
  • Ongoing Cost Savings - Enjoy the cost saving benefits of Voice over IP including free on-net calls between offices and replace your ISDN costs with SIP trunks. Also reduce your on-site maintenance costs as the majority of maintenance is provided remotely by your Service Provider.
  • Scalability - Harness the benefits of cloud based services by scaling your PABX extension users up or down instantly with no need for expensive hardware upgrades.
  • Business Continuity - Being cloud based your Cloud PABX follows you wherever your business is located. Move your office and your PABX seamlessly follows you. Cloud PABX is a perfect solution for business continuity assurance.
  • Improved Productivity - Unified Communications, such as Instant Messaging and Presence features allow you to communicate and work more effectively
  • Reliability and QoS - Your telephony traffic is prioritised and assured when delivered over NEC's business grade internet or Private Network connectivity services.

NexVoice Business Grade VoIP Services

Discovery Technology are one of Nextep Broadband's larger resellers in New South Wales and specialise in offering Business Grade VoIP services for customers seeking to reduce their outbound telephony costs. These services can sometimes be utilised in conjunction with PSTN or ISDN lines, and in other cases can act as a complete replacement.

Your options are to utilise a gateway device with your existing PSTN or ISDN lines for inbound and outbound calls, or you could port your existing numbers across to VoIP moving away from PSTN / ISDN altogether.

Overview

The NexVoice Service Platform (NVSP) is developed on Nextep owned and managed infrastructure to provide VoIP services where Nextep has presence. The NVSP provides telephony functionality, call routing and call features on its own network. Nextep has deployed a network of gateways in several major states across Australia and have engaged interconnect relationships with multiple telecommunications carriers in Australia to offer VoIP services beyond its own network for extended coverage.

Service Quality

NexVoice delivers clear, high quality voice communication in a variety of network conditions. End users can choose between two voice codecs designed to improve either voice quality or bandwidth utilisation on their broadband Internet connection.
Nextep recommends either of the following default codecs:
• Toll Quality Voice: G.711 codec (bandwidth reservation: 64kbps per voice channel)
• Near Toll Quality Voice: G.729a codec (bandwidth reservation: 32kbps per voice channel)

All NexVoice services are provided over Nextep's carrier-grade infrastructure that guarantees the highest reliability, security and quality of service. Each service is backed by a standard Service Level Agreement that ensures it adheres to stringent performance levels, quick fault recovery and proficient network support.
